I am a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, and philosophy instructor based in Orlando, Florida — and at the heart of my work is a conviction that healing is not only psychological but sacred.

Drawing on both ancient wisdom traditions and contemporary evidence-based psychotherapy, I offer a holistic approach that meets each person as a whole being: mind, body, and the deeper awareness that underlies both. My practice integrates contemplative and writing practices as core therapeutic tools — not supplements, but pathways. Journaling, reflective inquiry, and mindful writing can illuminate what talk alone cannot reach, helping you access the observer within: the quiet, steady seat of consciousness from which transformation becomes possible.

This inner orientation is woven through the evidence-based frameworks I work within — Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — each of which, at its depth, invites you to relate differently to your own mind. CBT sharpens awareness of thought patterns and the stories we carry. DBT builds the capacity to hold pain with skill and presence. ACT opens the question of what you value when you stop fusing with fear. Combined with contemplative practice and the written word, these approaches become not just techniques but invitations toward wholeness.

I work with clients navigating life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, relational difficulty, and vocational uncertainty — bringing to each a personalized, embodied therapeutic experience. My goal is not symptom management alone, but genuine, lasting change: a life lived with greater clarity, resilience, and peace — and, for those open to it, a growing sense of contact with something deeper in yourself.

Counseling Training & Background

I hold an MS in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Rochester, where I honed my skills in clinical practice. I completed my graduate practicum and internship at St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center in Rochester, New York, where I worked with underinsured and uninsured adult populations. I also had the privilege of providing wellness support to survivors of human trafficking in Norway, as part of the Norwegian Red Cross, which deepened my understanding of trauma and healing. I am currently pursuing advanced training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, complex trauma, somatic psychology, and ACT.

Yoga & Philosophy Teaching

Beyond the therapy room, I have been teaching yoga and philosophy since 2004 — two decades of guiding thousands of students through classes, workshops, and international retreats. I have had the honor of teaching in diverse settings across Norway, Sweden, Nepal, India, Peru, and throughout the United States.

My teaching draws from a wide and deeply integrated terrain: yogic asana and classical yoga philosophy and psychology, Buddhist psychology and philosophy, and the emerging frontiers of somatic studies and consciousness research — held together not as a curriculum but as a living conversation about what it means to be aware, embodied, and human.

My Joys

When I’m not working, I enjoy long walks with my husband beneath the grand southern live oaks of Florida, exploring local farmers’ markets, practicing yoga, weight training, or curling up with a good book. I am continually inspired by the teachings of Buddhism, yoga, psychology, and philosophy, which shape my ongoing learning and personal practice.

I am deeply committed to helping you find your path to well-being, and I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
